In 1984 I opened a grooming shop in Natchez,
People would come in to get there new puppy
groomed.  As it grew they would ask why does my
puppy not look like they do in the book?  This led
me into trying to breed the best puppies as close to
the AKC standards that I could.

In 1986 I began a breeding program for quality
puppies.  With the help from a good friend DR. Glen
Paterson, D.V.M., that bred Schnauzers also.  Doc
taught me so many thing from diseases, to the
reason why AKC has set standards, and what
happens when they are not followed.  It was a very
sad day in 1998 to get the call that Doc had passed
away from cancer.  Dr. Robert Best, D.V.M., has
not only been a good friend, he is a wonderful vet
and a remarkable surgeon.  He has taught me many
lessons over the last 20 years.  Also, Dr. Troy
Majors D.V.M., is wonderful diagnostic vet.  I thank
each of these veterinarians for their valuable help
over the years. With out the help of these people I
would have not made it.

In 1998 Gary and I were married, I worked the
kennel and Gary went to work every day.  On
January 18, 2000, all life that Gary and I knew
changed.  I fell from a ladder and broke my back.
After 2 major surgeries to insert metal rods, I was
in the hospital for 2 months and now I am wheelchair
bound for the rest of my life.

It took less than 3 seconds and all the kennel was
now Gary's responsibility.  Gary had the choice to
between going back to work, or keeping the kennel.
He knew that I had given up a lot of my life after
the fall and did not have the heart to make me give
up the kennel.  He knew how to put out feed at that
time, and now he can do everything from whelping
puppies to grooming.  It has been many tears threw
the years but God has given us many  more happy
days that we have in joyed.  Without the dogs it
would not have been half as much fun they are a joy
to Gary and I.

It is our hopes that you will in joy and love our
puppies as me have.    THANKS for Gary and I for
taking your time to read this.   Edith
